We provide a continuum of care in Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Programs, Transition Centers, and Community Release Centers, for offenders and probation populations. Join us in changing lives at our Turning Point Bridge location as an Operations Technician, as this position plays a key role in our clients' continued success. In this role, we are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for inspiring, helping and challenging others The ideal candidate will be required to perform the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. Supervise inmate population at all times, including meal times, work periods, visitation, and furloughs.

  2. Ensure the safety and welfare of inmates, staff, and visitors.

  3. Conducts daily inspections of housing areas.

  4. Records and reports maintenance problems through weekly inspections.

  5. Conduct weekend phone monitors to inmate’s employers.

  6. Collect and record inmate paychecks.

  7. Conduct all necessary counts, according to written policy.

  8. Conduct intake on all new inmate.

  9. Attend all staff meetings, when requested.

  10. Maintain all daily, weekly, monthly Log Books, and any other required documentation.

  11. Sign inmates out to work and Furloughs, documenting all necessary forms.

  12. Ensure inmates return all IDs, except inmate ID cards, when returning from outside activities.

  13. Miscellaneous filing and record keeping.

  14. Clock in and out utilizing the company time and attendance system.

  15. Must be able to perform the major functions of job with or without an accommodation.

  16. Required to attend all mandatory training specified by policy.

  17. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  18. Report all Workers Compensation injuries, whether or not they require medical attention or not, to you immediate supervisor, the Business Administrator or the Facility Director.

  19. Report all breaches of company policy or code of ethics that you have knowledge of, hear about or see regardless of who is involved in the breach to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director.Or the HR Department if necessary.

  20. Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director immediately.

  21. To be eligible for promotion you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills.

  22. To be eligible for promotion to a supervisory position you must complete supervisory/team building training.This can be accomplished by checking out “How to Supervise People” CD from the corporate office and passing all tests with a minimum score of 80%.

  23. Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of this job description are followed and adhered to.

  24. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.



Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Prefer three years of experience working in the criminal justice field; will train those with applicable skills in related fields.

EDUCATION: High school degree, college degree desired
