The Operations Technician supports the operational and logistical needs of agricultural and energy businesses, ensuring seamless delivery of products and services to customers. This role involves handling, maintaining, and operating equipment for storing, mixing, and distributing agronomy products (fertilizers, crop protection, seed) and energy products (fuel, propane, lubricants).

Additionally, the technician will assist in inventory management, loading/unloading, facility upkeep, and safety compliance. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining agricultural equipment

Assist in mixing and loading agricultural crop production input products and energy products.

Loading/unloading products, ensuring accurate quantities and safe handling procedures.

Support inventory management by receiving, storing, and distributing materials for agricultural and energy products.

Assisting in inventory tracking and order preparation.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on agricultural machinery and equipment.

Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Interacting with customers to deliver products or provide technical assistance

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage facilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; experience in agriculture and energy work is preferred.

Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.

Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others.

Familiarity with agricultural and energy products, including knowledge of their safe handling and proper management of hazardous materials.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized equipment are preferred

Ability to operate, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment safely and effectively.

Experience with inventory management preferred

Ability to follow detailed instructions

Commitment to following safety guidelines and regulations.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required for loading and unloading.

The role involves physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy products.

This position requires driving for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
