Mechanical Fitter
Perth, WA (Hazelmere Service Centre near Perth Airport)
Onsite, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to mine sites

What you’ll do

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Strip, repair, and reassemble Weir brand and non-OEM pumps, valves, and cyclones according to OEM specifications, including balancing, pressure testing, and completing final inspection reports.
  • Workshop Operations: Work primarily from the Perth Hazelmere Service Centre on a Monday to Friday roster (6:30am–2:45pm Mon-Thurs, 6:30am–12:30pm Fri) with options for overtime and occasional Saturday work by agreement.
  • Site Support: Provide onsite support during mine shutdowns as part of the site service crew when required, assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in implementing the Weir Production System and recommend improvements to products, services, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.


What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning
  • Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a workshop or onsite environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Australian Work Rights

Nice-to-haves:

  • Welding experience
  • High Risk forklift ticket, overhead crane, and dogging tickets
  • Experience working on pumps, cyclones, valves, and related equipment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to mine sites for shutdown support
