Kognia is seeking a technically oriented Operations Lead to support and optimize our Academy and Scouting match data pipelines This role focuses on ensuring matches are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, while continuously improving workflows, turnaround times, and system reliability.
The Technical Operations Lead works at the intersection of Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams. It is a hands-on, systems-focused role with ownership over pipeline performance and operational execution.
Monitor and support end-to-end match processing workflows across Academy and Scouting products
Track game status, turnaround times, and pipeline health using internal operational tools
Identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and inefficiencies in processing workflows
Propose and support implementation of workflow and pipeline improvements
Act as an operational partner to Engineering on tooling, pipeline changes, and testing
Support Commercial teams with delivery visibility, timelines, and operational insight
Assist with root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and ongoing process optimization
Experience in operations, data operations, sports technology, or technical program roles
Strong analytical mindset with attention to process, systems, and performance metrics
Comfortable working with dashboards, workflows, and operational tooling
Ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, and commercial teams
Interest in football (soccer), sports analytics, or data-driven products preferred
Full-time role aligned with competition schedules and delivery needs
Hybrid or remote work options depending on location and project requirements
Requires sustained computer-based work and reliable high-speed internet
Laptop and preferably two wide-screen monitors recommended
