Job Description

Role Purpose

To manage and execute day-to-day Capital Market Operations activities, ensuring timely processing, settlement, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance across equity, debt, mutual funds, and other capital market products. The incumbent will support operational excellence and coordinate with internal stakeholders, custodians, exchanges, depositories, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor capital market transactions across various asset classes.
  • Ensure timely trade confirmation, settlement, and exception management.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of trades, holdings, cash, and depository records.
  • Coordinate with brokers, custodians, clearing corporations, and depositories for seamless transaction processing.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, and operational discrepancies.
  • Monitor corporate actions and ensure accurate processing in systems.
  • Prepare and review MIS, operational reports, and exception reports.
  • Ensure adherence to SEBI, Exchange, Depository, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects.
  • Handle stakeholder queries and provide operational support within defined SLAs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or related discipline.
  • 1–4 years of experience in Capital Market Operations, Settlements, Reconciliations, Custody, or Trade Processing.
  • Knowledge of Equity, Debt, Mutual Funds, Depositories (NSDL/CDSL), and Exchange operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to capital market operations.
  • Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of trade lifecycle management.
  • Experience in settlement and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting.
