Job Description

Role Purpose

To manage backend Trade Finance operations including processing, scrutiny, authorization support, document checking, transaction settlement, compliance review, and customer servicing while ensuring adherence to regulatory and bank policies. The role requires strong understanding of Trade Finance products and operational risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and handle end-to-end Trade Finance backend transactions including:
  • Letters of Credit (Import & Export)
  • Bank Guarantees
  • Bills under LC and Collection
  • Inland Trade Transactions
  • Trade Loans and Financing
  • SWIFT message processing
  • Verify trade documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable guidelines and internal policies.
  • Ensure timely processing of transactions within defined TAT and service quality standards.
  • Perform transaction validation, maker-checker controls, and exception handling.
  • Coordinate with Branches, Relationship Teams, Clients, Correspondent Banks, and Internal Stakeholders for seamless transaction execution.
  • Monitor pending cases, discrepancies, amendments, and follow-ups for closure.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, UCP 600, ISBP, URDG and internal operational guidelines.
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, and implement effective controls.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, regulatory inspections, and internal control testing.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and productivity enhancements.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and operational accuracy.
