LMI is seeking a Chief of Staff in the DC Metro area with demonstrated experience in senior military staff/operations who also has familiarity with tech to assist a United States Special Operations Command mission partner.

This position is in-person and requires an active Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Chief of Staff, you are expected to bring deep US Military experience including operations roles similar to a Brigade/Group Operations SGM or S3/J3. You have run a 3 shop and are a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on planning, staffing, and day-to-day US military operations. Ideally, you have also served as an XO or 1SG and excelled in those roles.

You are an expert with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word.

You have experience in special operations, ideally in both a joint and US Army SOF unit.

You have experience interfacing with senior civilian and military leaders at the SES & GO level.

You know how to and will proactively solve unusual and/or complex problems with little or know direction given.

You have spent time in the pentagon and are familiar with operations there.

This is a role supporting a very fast-moving technical organization that is directly supporting the warfighter.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum of 10-years of military experience with special operations time.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to communicate at the SES/GO level
  • Ability to function with little or no guidance in a fast faced technical operations environment.
  • Previous experience as an ops planner, ops NCO, or ops officer.
  • Familiarity with the pentagon
  • Familiarity with AI, data, cloud computing, and/or drones

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Project or Product Management Certifications such as PMP or CSPO
  • Prior commissioned officer with service as an operations officer in a Special Forces unit.
  • Prior SGM with experience running a S3 shop in a Special Forces unit.
