The Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Support Supervisor to lead our Self Perform Operations Support team in Sydney, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across multiple client contracts. In this leadership role, you will supervise and support a team responsible for scheduling, dispatch, and coordination of field technicians. You’ll ensure operational performance meets contract service levels, KPIs, and compliance standards while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture. You’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency, supporting management teams, and enhancing service delivery through leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing


  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Operations Support Administrators (approx. 10–15 staff)

  • Oversee daily scheduling and dispatch of reactive and planned maintenance tasks

  • Ensure work orders are allocated effectively to meet SLA and KPI requirements

  • Drive team performance through monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement

  • Provide operational leadership and support to area managers and field teams

  • Manage client service desk escalations and operational enquiries

  • Optimise technician resource planning based on priority, location, and skill set

  • Oversee system usage (Astea or similar), including task allocation, updates, closures, and reporting

  • Support financial processes including purchase orders, cost tracking, and stock coordination

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Lead onboarding, training, and development of team members

  • Promote a positive, high-performing team culture aligned with BGIS values

Your Education, Experience & Skills


  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in operations, scheduling, or facilities management

  • Minimum 2 plus years’ experience in facilities management, trade services, or similar environments

  • Experience with ERP, CAFM, or field service systems (e.g. Astea, SAP, Oracle, Maximo)

  • Strong people leadership, coaching, and team development skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service capability

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Teams)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
