Operations Supervisor, Lead

Location: Juneau Transportation & Guest Services

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour

Description

Guests visit Alaska every summer seeking experiences to last a lifetime. Our Lead Operations position is ideal for a service-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic hospitality and tourism environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence, team development, safety compliance, and outstanding customer service by providing guidance, training, and support to frontline staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a shore excursion services team and the guest services activities.
• Responsible for assisting in the administration of shore excursion services activities and operations.
• Assists with administering the local driver safety training program in the Spring with safety and service audit support during the operating season.
• Routinely applies knowledge of operations, Company products, and customer services to assist staff with routine questions.
• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in the use of computer business applications.
• A current valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, is required.
• A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required, but available pending candidate qualifications.
• A minimum age of 21 is required for CDL.
• If in the CDL program, must be certified as physically qualified through a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen. You will become a part of our random drug test pool.
• CDL certification may be obtained through the company training course.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
