Job Description

Operations supervisor position for the Facilities trade organization.

This position is for the D501 piping trade supervision which consists of Maintenance Pipe Fitters. This will consist of developing and scheduling daily/weekly workloads using CMMS, completing work orders in a timely manner, maintaining safety (JHA) and training programs, conducting preventative maintenance program of facilities equipment and utilizing process improvement programs.

Applicant will also be required to work with outside contractors and support other Facilities and Operations organizations to complete job tasks.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining steam and/or mechanical systems/equipment
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Must meet one of the following:

  • Minimum 1 year trade experience at electric boat
  • Minimum of 3 year combined relevant experience and leadership experience in a high-volume setting
  • Minimum of 1 year EB experience and an Engineering degree in a related field

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 3 years in pipe fitting
  • 2-5 supervision experience
  • Preferred licenses P1,P2 or P3
  • HVAC, Compressed Air, Steam, Water and Gas experience preferred

  • Good communication skills with multi-department interactions
  • Basic computer experience and knowledge is required.
