Location: Basildon

Shift pattern: Tuesday to Saturday, 00:00–10:00

Contract: Permanent, 45 hours per week

Salary: £32,000 per annum

We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Nights Operations Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, leads by example and knows how to get the best out of people and resources. What will you be doing?

As our Nights Operations Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring parcels flow efficiently through our sortation areas and reach their destinations on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the operation: Supervise and reconcile warehouse activity, including deliveries and Holdbay operations.
• Managing deliveries: Coordinate bulk and return deliveries alongside our C&D and LGV fleet.
• Supporting collections: Assist with bulk collection customer planning to keep operations running efficiently.
• Maintaining compliance: Support adherence to LGV transport rules and regulations.
• Deploying resources: Ensure people and operational resources are effectively allocated to meet workload demands.
• Driving performance: Monitor operational performance and ensure KPI targets are achieved or exceeded.
• Developing your skills: Take part in training and personal development opportunities to support your continued growth.

This is a hands-on, physically active role in a busy warehouse hub where every minute counts. You’ll need to stay focused, communicate clearly and take pride in delivering results, even when the pressure is on.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who can bring leadership, organisation and a proactive approach to our night operation.

You’ll need:

• At least one year’s experience in a comparable or acting supervisory role.
• Knowledge of resource management and effective workforce deployment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give, receive and implement operational instructions.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems to support day-to-day operations.
• Strong attention to detail, a positive work ethic and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
