WILHELMSEN PORT SERVICES

OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, VIETNAM

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide support to the operations department in handling vessel operations.
• Respond to ship owners/ ship masters and principals’ inquiries such as port information, port restriction/ PDA/ and give quotation for crew change/ ship repairing/ provision stores supply or others etc.
• Ensure smooth co-ordination between WPS and shippers/ consignees/ terminals/ stevedores.
• Ensure the application Customs/ Immigration, Quarantine, harbor master, Towage service pilot formalities and conforms to all local regulatory standards.
• Arrange berth/ report discharging or loading cargo or other related things such as vessel’s damage, cargo damage etc. to principal while vessel’s stay in port/ service as per master required.
• Prepare all bills, including sub-agent's D/A, before they are processed by Dept. Manager.
• Attend to ad hoc assignments as directed by Operations Manager and prepare report on operations.
• Maintain good relations with customers, charterers, other agents and authorities.
• Maintain financial reports for Ship Agency. Ensure clients’ requirements & KPIs are met.
• Assure compliance with company’s operational policy, ensure effective control of operational costs

Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree, preferably in shipping operations.
• Managerial experience is preferred.
• Deep knowledge and experience of shipping and vessel operations, husbandry services for at least 3 years.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able/ willing to work odd hours including weekends/ public holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
