As a Plant Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift), you will play a key role on the Livonia leadership team, partnering with the Plant Manager to drive overall plant performance and deliver exceptional results in safety, service, quality, and cost. This role leads a team of approximately 40 employees— including forklift drivers, production associates, clerks, and technicians—while fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor. The ideal candidate is a proactive, positive leader who communicates effectively, drives accountability, and supports team development to enhance performance and morale.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
2nd shift Production hours: 3pm - 11:30pm (Expected attendance for 2:30pm leadership meetings)
Key Accountabilities– What you will do
Supervise the work of all production employees – oversees production and shipping schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods.
Provide hands-on leadership as a supervisor, responsible for mentoring and coaching all employees and working through employee relations issues.
Support plant administration to ensure compliance toestablishedpolicies.
Responsible, in consultation with Plant Manager, for the cost and yield performance of the Plant in partnership with the overall P&L of the Plant.
Support cost control initiatives and process control within the Plant.
Review operations activities, including local transportation activities, tomaintaincompliance with all Federal,Stateand local laws (OSHA, DOL, DOJ, EPA, FD)
Drive Safety improvements (Zero Harm) across the Plant
Ensure the consistent execution of all SOPs throughout the Plantin accordance withthe PMS
Experience– What you will bring
Prior experience in a plant supervisory role in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with private fleet management/transportation is helpful
Strong customer focus orientation
Strong people management capability including non-exempt production workforce
Demonstratedsuccess in delivering strong employee relations
Demonstratedability to work cross-functionally
Experience managing safety performance and programs
Understanding of supply chain practices and metrics and data analysiso

Compensation Statement:
The salary range for this position is $61,680 to $80,000.
Salary ranges providedtake into accounta wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided.
