The Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Manager with daily tasks to support efficient management of the warehouse and delivery teams and their operation. Tasks supported by this role include ensuring appropriate staffing levels, delivery planning, handling customer inquiries, and leading staff through corporate initiatives. This role is fundamental in achieving operational excellence. The shifts are Monday - Friday with a wage range of $28 - $31 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consistent supervision and leadership to the warehouse and delivery teams.
• Manage performance expectations through training, coaching and ongoing feedback.
• Oversee new hire orientations.
• Professionally respond to customer inquiries and challenges.
• Provide training to all operations staff as required.
• Ensure equipment efficiency are meet.
• Ensure the team meets delivery standards and customer expectations.
• Assist with facility inventory management processes.
• Perform workplace investigations for injury and property claims.
• Manage personnel through return-to-work protocols.
• Provide reporting to management as requested.
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience.
• Class 1 or 3 license would be a definite asset.
• Previous demonstrated leadership experience.
• Previous building materials industry experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel required.
