Operations Supervisor - Hume Rd, Laverton North.
As Lineage continues its transformation and growth journey across the region, we are looking to appoint an Operations Supervisor at our Hume Rd facility in Laverton North, Melbourne.
This is a critical role on our afternoon shift, supported by a 15% shift allowance and offering the opportunity to help shape performance, culture and customer outcomes at one of our flagship Victorian sites.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will play an essential role in supporting a safe, high-performing and engaged team environment. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, champion safety, support our people and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
Your contribution will directly influence productivity, service delivery, cost control and continuous improvement across the shift.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be accountable for:
Championing safety on shift, ensuring all policies and procedures are embedded in daily practice.
Delivering operational service excellence by meeting agreed customer service levels and taking corrective actions where required.
Achieving productivity outcomes through effective task allocation, workflow coordination and hands-on supervision.
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, particularly those focused on cost efficiency and operational optimisation.
Developing capability by ensuring all staff are trained and competent in operating machinery, equipment and Lineage warehouse systems.
Monitoring contractual and operational compliance, ensuring quality, safety and service standards are consistently met.
Coaching and mentoring the team, including regular review of KPIs, coaching and providing clear direction.
What You Bring
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Experience in a similar operations, warehousing or logistics supervisory role.
A track record of supporting small-medium sized teams in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to logistics and warehousing.
The ability to plan and match manpower and equipment to workload requirements within legal and industrial relations parameters.
Demonstrated experience implementing safety systems, product safety initiatives and quality standards.
In-depth understanding of MHE, warehouse traffic management and safe operating procedures.
