Midland Transport is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Edmundston Terminal, NB.
The Operations Supervisor supports terminal operations by overseeing daily activities across P&D, Dock, and occasional administrative operations. This role ensures efficient workflows while monitoring key KPIs related to cost, service quality, and safety. The Operations Supervisor provides hands‑on leadership to maintain high operational standards and support a safe, productive work environment. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

• Ensure efficient dock operations through proper staffing, scheduling, and KPI monitoring
• Oversee P&D operations, including staffing, route planning, scheduling, and KPI tracking
• Perform daily dispatching, including customer communication and appointment coordination
• Provide leadership and support to drivers and dock staff
• Lead safety initiatives: Idelic/Intelex entries, incident investigations, Health & Safety Committee participation
• Manage maintenance of P&D equipment, building facilities, and material‑handling equipment
• Complete key administrative reports impacting cost and service (cash collects, unmanifested, OSD, incomplete reports)
• Minimum of 3 years of transportation industry experience
• Proficient with computers and operational systems, including AS/400
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Bilingual (French/English) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates adaptability and effectiveness in a fast paced operational environment
• Collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships
• Exemplifies Midland’s corporate values through professionalism, integrity, and a strong customer service mindset
• Class 1 driver’s license will be considered an asset
