Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plans, directs, and controls import customer service team activities on a day to day basis
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with, key accounts and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.
  • Supervises import documentation.
  • Oversee payment process and docs release to suppliers, aging follow-up to avoid invoice overdue.
  • Oversee billing to import accounts, according to corporate SOP.
  • Supervise shipment manifest on customs system and release of system from the carriers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of Air and Ocean Import regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
  • Ability to manually calculate volume for Air and LCL Ocean and calculate part load costs.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and email.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience preferred.
