This is an on-site, collaborative role, operating on a 9/80 schedule! (M-Th 3:00pm – 12:00am and every other F from 3:00pm – 11:00pm)

As our Operations Supervisor, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:

  • Provide hands‑on leadership to include performance management, scheduling, training and professional development coordination

  • Regularly meets with department leads and operators, consistently reviewing standard work and providing guidance

  • Develop leadership bench strength for upcoming new programs and attrition

  • Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action efforts (RCCA) and promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline

  • Ensure materials flow to each work cell

  • Drive continuous improvement

  • Ensure longer term quality initiatives are run to completion

  • Ensuring standard work is accurate/achievable

  • Job Safety Analysis creation and annual review

  • Work actively with Value Stream Managers and Lean leaders to support process improvements

  • Attends Value Stream related meetings and flows to leads

To be considered for the Operations Supervisor role, you will need to bring with you:

  • HS Diploma/GED is required

  • 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience

  • Direct industry experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments

  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel

  • Strong working knowledge of assembly and test operations, complex mechanical/electrical builds, or precision manufacturing processes.

  • Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, engineering change orders (ECOs), and test procedures.

  • Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, value‑stream mapping, standard work, and waste reduction.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a high‑rigor environment.

Ideal if you also had:

  • 3+ of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting; Demonstrated experience in managing skilled technicians, coaching and fostering a high‑performance, accountable team culture.

  • Working knowledge of TWI training

  • Experience creating Job Breakdown Sheets

  • Experience leading Kata and Kaizen

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $80,000.00–$100,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
