Operations Strategy Officer

Salary Range: ₦350,000 – ₦400,000 (Monthly)

We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Operations Strategy Officer to oversee day-to-day operational performance while driving strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, compliance, and scalability.

This role blends strategy formulation with hands-on operational execution The successful candidate will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure operational processes are optimized, systems are effective, risks are managed, and organizational goals are consistently achieved as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Performance Management

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term growth plans.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance.

  • Establish, document, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Define clear performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.

Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards applicable to real estate and construction operations.

  • Conduct periodic operational and compliance audits to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and ensure accountability.

  • Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans to address operational disruptions and emergencies.

Financial & Asset Management

  • Support budget preparation, cost control, and financial forecasting across operational activities.

  • Implement cost-optimization initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or service delivery.

  • Develop and execute strategies that enhance asset value and maximize return on investment (ROI).

Facilities & Property Operations

  • Ensure all facilities and properties meet health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

  • Oversee operational issues related to properties, tenants, and facilities, ensuring timely and professional resolution.

  • Monitor property performance metrics to support data-driven operational decisions.

Technology, Systems & Data

  • Identify and implement technology tools and systems that improve operational efficiency and data visibility.

  • Utilize property management, ERP, or CRM software to track performance, guide decision-making, and generate reports.

  • Analyze operational data and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, clients, investors, vendors, regulators, and service providers.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders to support smooth operations.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead initiatives that promote operational excellence, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

  • Support team coordination and performance through clear expectations, accountability, and structured processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in operations management, strategy, or facilities management, preferably within real estate, construction, or property development.

  • Strong understanding of operational strategy, budgeting, financial planning, and compliance management.

  • Demonstrated experience using property management systems, ERP, or CRM software.

  • Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or professional certification in Operations Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.

  • Experience managing multiple properties, projects, or mixed-use real estate portfolios.

  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

  • Familiarity with data analytics and technology-driven operational tracking tools.
