Job Description

Ensures alignment with external parties and Mexican authorities (COFEPRIS) to get the approval of import permits (CANS) on time for all destinations based on the logistics network defined by the market. Guarantee top quality of our products that reflects the premium brand of Red Bull along the supply chain and compliance with the local regulations related to consumer protection and any other relevant regulation for the RB business. Reporting to the S&OP Manager, the operations specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining the consensus 12 months demand plan for VISITS (POS) at multiple levels of aggregation, utilizing insights from Sales, Marketing, and Finance. He/she manages the flow of supply to secure 100% stock availability and efficient inventory levels for VISITS (POS). He/she works closely with his/her peers in Red Bull Mexico to develop, implement and share best practices in alignment with internal and external stakeholders. Standardize and streamline processes according to global standards, making sure that the department works with transparent, efficient and effective processes.

IMPORT PERMITS

  • Ensure that all import permits are approved by COFEPRIS for all defined destinations prior to importing products.
  • Preparation of all relevant legalized order documentation including letters of declaration and any other applicable import documentation.
  • Maintain regular communications with internal and external stakeholders, incl. department heads to support import permit approvals.
  • Ensure proper documentation (manual, guidelines, BPPs) is all organized and filed for easy access.
  • Ensure key supplier relationships are managed, and performance is properly monitored by the respective business partner.
  • Support in the checking of invoices. (Shopping Carts).
  • Ensure that processes are executed according to corporate governance and guideline.

VISITS (POS)

  • Ownership for complete order process, for VISITs in SAP, including events and services of RB coolers/VISIT items.
  • Work with Budget/Material owners to analyze business plans and company spending to make recommendations for future cost optimization.
  • Create and maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively align and support the identification of possible cost optimization and/or other improvements.
  • In alignment with the Global Procurement Policy, develop and implement procurement policies, procedures and guidelines for VISITS, in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements.
  • Drive and coordinate efforts to provide transparency on and insights into 3rd party spend.
  • Responsible for aligning/composing the Placement Forecast for VISITS items, identifying risks and opportunities to the operating plan and financial framework.
  • Develop, establish, implement and enforce supplier management and outsourcing guidelines, obligations and service level agreements to the organization.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of Material Master Data Creation and Purchase Price Variance (Standard Cost maintenance).
  • Coordinates the request from external certificates for VISITs.
  • Provides monthly status of VISITS availability.
  • Establish and manage inventory levels to ensure not out of stocks, inventory levels according to business plans and ensure healthy product age according to the quality guidelines. Alert to the S&OP Manager in case of risks in inventory management and provide plan to reduce risks.
  • Preparation of all relevant legalized order documentation including letters and any other applicable import documentation.

KEY RESULTS & DELIVERABLES

  • Ensure VISIT execution based on agreed plans.
  • Accurate and timely processing of import permits according to the guidelines (documents, standard times, etc…) defined by the market and Mexican authorities.
  • Define and plan against an optimal inventory level to prevent OOS considering the market/supply chain volatilities.
  • Ensure KPI targets are met.
  • Adherence to HQ and local guidelines is monitored.
  • Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers, business units and Operations team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in trade compliance, customs regulations, import operations, and supply chain logistics, ideally in the FMCG industry.
  • Hands-on experience with obtaining and processing import permits through COFEPRIS (Mexico's regulatory agency).
  • Experience with trade legislation, import permits request and COFEPRIS procedures.
  • Experience in working in a high volume FMCG industry is desirable.
  • Excel, Word and Power point skills.
  • SAP (APO/ERP) experience is desirable.
  • Good stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and focus efforts.
  • Profound analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory to operate effectively in an international environment.
