The Equity Finance Operations team is seeking an experienced contractor to provide coverage for a maternity leave on a 6-month contract. This role supports critical, time-sensitive post-trade activities across equity finance products, including international securities lending, trade settlements, collateral management, market-to-market processing, and cash settlements, ensuring accuracy and effective risk control. The individual will join a small, collaborative team supporting global functions, working closely with another team member to maintain continuity and efficiency across international operations.

Pay: T4: $ 49 / IC: $56

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily settlement lifecycle for equity finance trades (borrows/loans, returns, recalls, buy-ins)
• Perform collateral processing, mark-to-market activities, and exposure monitoring
• Execute daily reconciliations across internal systems and depositories (e.g., DTC/CDS)
• Investigate and resolve breaks, fails, and counterparty exceptions
• Support end-of-day reporting and ensure adherence to control and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Front Office, Risk, and Control partners to manage operational risk

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in Capital Markets Operations (Equity Finance / Securities Lending preferred)
• Strong understanding of settlement processes, collateral management, and reconciliations
• Experience with systems such as G1, iLOAN, or similar post-trade platforms
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

PREFERRED

• Ability to onboard quickly and operate with minimal supervision
• Availability to support knowledge transfer in June ahead of role coverage in early July
