Auctionet is a marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, Great Britain, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design objects, collectibles, and much more. We are now looking for a Operations Specialistwho wants to be part of our team and contribute to contribute to transforming the physical and operational reality of our partner auction houses using lean methodology
We are looking for an Operations Specialist who can bridge the gap between lean methodology and the physical reality of auction houses. You own the operational and physical layer of the partner relationship - designing workflows, configuring auction house spaces, coaching teams, and embedding standards that hold across the network.
Auctionet is the experienced growth partner to auction houses. We help our partners grow the value of every object that passes through their doors — and the experience of every buyer who finds them on our marketplace. The Operations Specialist makes that real on the ground — turning lean methodology and operational expertise into working environments inside auction houses, and keeping those environments healthy as partners scale.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design spaces: Configure the physical layout of the auction houses to ensure objects flow smoothly with minimal handling.
Map workflows: Use Lean tools (like 5S and value stream mapping) to identify bottlenecks and design smarter workflows together with partners.
Run onboarding: Be onsite during new partner launches to embed our operational standards right from day one.
Standardise quality & coach: Help partners implement documented workflows for reliable quality, coaching them to find and remove waste independently.
Qualify new partners: Collaborate with Sales and Partner Success to evaluate prospective partners' premises and operational viability before signing.
Close the feedback loop: Bring ground-level insights from the auction floor back to our product, success, and leadership teams.
This role is based in Stockholm. Please note that significant travel across our partner network across Europe is a natural part of this work, not an exception to it.
You will work within the Customer & Partner Success department, where you will work closely with the Partner Success Managers and Sales, and report to the Director of Customer & Partner Success.
Auctionet has around 170 employees and is the parent company of a wider group with approximately 400 colleagues across multiple countries. Our main office is near Östermalmstorgs in central Stockholm, with logistics centers in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Cologne.
You’re someone who’s hands-on, analytical, and an excellent communicator. You possess a critical but empathetic eye, meaning you can easily spot inefficiencies without dismissing the valuable expertise and knowledge already present in the room. You are skilled at building trust quickly with teams at all levels, and your approach is centered on coaching rather than traditional consulting—you aim to leave behind capability, not dependency. Furthermore, you have strong spatial and layout thinking, allowing you to read a physical space and redesign it efficiently while balancing practical and budgetary constraints.
To succeed in this role, we think you have:
3–6 years of experience in operations, service design, lean consulting, or a closely related field.
Documented experience from an auction house, retail, logistics, or production environment where physical workflow matters.
Proven experience applying lean tools (such as value stream mapping, 5S, and the eight wastes) in real, physical environments.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to run multiple onsite engagements in parallel and track implementation across a network.
Fluency and excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish.
A valid driver's license, which is a absolute must since the role requires extensive travel.
We have a straightforward process without unpleasant surprises.
We'll start of with a short phone interview and greet just to get a feeling if we could be right for each other or not.
We then have a few meetings (usually two or three) where we talk about you, the role and Auctionet - and you get the chance to talk to the people you will work closely with. In the process, we will also ask you to do a small take-home exercise. And in the end, we hope it feels like the perfect fit for both of us!
We will be reviewing applications continuously, but please submit your application no later than 10th of June

With this acquisition, Auctionet owns and operates both the oldest auction house in the world (1674) and the second oldest (1681), which means we have been working with sustainability for 350(!) years.
