At Crisis Connections, our work supports people in moments of crisis, connection, and healing. As our Operations Specialist, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role—creating a welcoming, organized, and well-run workplace so our staff can focus on supporting the community when it matters most.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys being the go-to problem solver, and takes pride in keeping an office running smoothly. You’ll be a trusted partner to leadership, a friendly face to staff and visitors, and a key contributor to a safe and supportive work environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a warm, professional, and welcoming office environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for front-office operations, phones, visitors, and general inquiries
  • Manage office logistics including supplies, mail, badges, workspace access, and shared resources
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers (maintenance, cleaning, security, equipment, etc.)
  • Support leadership with meetings, events, presentations, and internal communications
  • Help ensure safety, security, and readiness of office and common spaces
  • Track and handle administrative processes such as donations, inventory, and access audits
  • Partner with teams across the organization on events, projects, and special initiatives
  • Serve on the Health & Safety Committee and support organizational well-being efforts

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in office administration, operations, or similar role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating across teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience working with diverse communities and cultures
  • Ability to work in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment where compassion matters

Working Environment

As a behavioral health organization, our work sometimes includes exposure to conversations about mental health, suicide, and crisis response. We prioritize staff support, safety, and care while doing this important work together.
