British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Skills Development Manager


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and drive factory capability-building and training programs, ensuring employees develop the skills and competencies required to support business and operational objectives.
  • Maintain training matrices, certification records, competency databases, and qualification tracking systems to ensure compliance and workforce readiness.
  • Support the deployment of the IWS Education & Training Pillar and promote a strong Learn-Do-Teach culture across the factory.
  • Develop and execute communication plans and engagement campaigns that support IWS, Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Create and manage high-impact communication materials including presentations, newsletters, posters, digital content, visual boards, videos, and leadership communications.
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction, retraining, and capability development activities to accelerate employee competence and performance.
  • Plan and deliver employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and factory events that strengthen culture, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Manage factory communication channels and calendars, ensuring timely and consistent communication of key operational updates, achievements, and leadership messages.
  • Monitor training, engagement, and communication performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness and employee participation.
  • Support audit readiness and governance requirements by maintaining accurate training documentation, evidence repositories, and compliance records.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Education, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Communications, Learning & Development, Capability Building, Manufacturing Excellence or a related function.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into engaging messages and learning materials.
  • Proven experience in training coordination, employee engagement, internal communications, or change management initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels.
  • Experience developing communication content such as presentations, newsletters, campaigns, digital content, and leadership communication materials.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and digital communication platforms.
  • Knowledge of IWS, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence principles is an advantage.
