In a Ops Shift Manager role, you will be the driving force behind your team, responsible for day-to-day operational supervision. You will actively contribute to monitoring and improving warehouse processes to increase efficiency. You will manage KPI’s for subordinate departments, monitor daily progress towards planned goals and strive to fully achieve them. You will monitor operating costs and take proactive measures to stay within budget. You will be involved in cleanliness and safety of the warehouse by monitoring and improving processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure production operations is adequately staffed and trained to support on-going work
• Allocating tasks and providing feedback to maintain morales and keep the team motivated
• Overseeing shift activities within Inbound/Outbound/Options and SFP dept
• Helps and support staff to resolve on the job challenges/difficulties to enhance productivity
• Conduct regular personnel meetings and training sessions to promote continuous improvement
• Analyse shift performance data and implement corrective actions in zones requiring attention
• Prepare and submit daily shift reports detailing achieved goals, problems and resolutions
• Monitor and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Addressing operational difficulties promptly

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management Logistics, Business, or a related field
• Experience in a Warehouse supervisory role or similar operational environment
• Strong understanding of operational processes and efficiency optimization
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience with working with Microsoft Office tools
