Scale Operator

Niagara Metals is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Scale Operator. This position will be located at our Union Rd location in Cheektowaga, NY.

Shift:

• Monday to Friday 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM & Saturday 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM
• Every other week: Monday to Friday 8:15 AM to 5:45 PM

What We Expect:

• Verify all info on paperwork going to drivers (Inbound and Outbound).
• Verify supplier Name on Scale Ticket with any Driver Paperwork.
• Verify Gross, Tare and Net Weights are correct.
• Distribute driver’s paperwork.
• Input sort reports for accounts finalized by the warehouse into Mayer.
• Scan all completed inbound and outbound paperwork to main office.
• Prepare outbound and inbound customs paperwork.
• Maintain Car processing Logs and complete associated DMV and NMVTIS paperwork.
• Answer phone calls.
• All other tasks requested by management in addition to above mentioned items.

Responsibilities /schedule may expand or evolve over time.

You Have:

• 1 year in a similar role preferred.
• 1 year of work experience performing general administrative duties.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical Strong attention to detail.
• Friendly, personable, works well on a team and independently.
