Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of auditing and/or analysis of financial documents.
  • Ability to travel within Leon county.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Preferences:

  • Two (2) years or more of experience in dealing with credit card acceptance rules.
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in procuring and managing contracts.
  • Two (2) years or more of professional banking experience.
  • Two (2) years or more of State of Florida accounting.
  • Two (2) years or more of State of Florida experience at the professional level.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

This position is not eligible for teleworking. Applicants will be required to work in the Tallahassee Office located at 1801 Hermitage Blvd.

It is anticipated that travel within the Tallahassee area will be required 10% of the time for this position.

This position requires a security background check including fingerprinting as a condition of employment.

Interview will consist of: Oral interview questions and work sample. Work samples will be answered using Microsoft Word and Excel

The anticipated salary for this position will be between $50,000.00 and $54,000.00. The salary may be commensurate with experience.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis. Knowledge of basic management principles and practices. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to work independently. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to travel.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Select state agencies to perform on-site review by gathering and analyzing data received from annual reports, revenue types collected, payment collection methods, amount of revenue collected, and other financial documentation as required by 69C-5 and 69C-9, Florida Administration Code.

Assist in directing activities within the Cash Management Section.

Ensure quality control procedures are met by monitoring system controls and wire transfer functions.

Assist in the administration of the Treasury Cash Concentration System (TCCS).

Assist in the administration of the credit card acceptance program as required by 69C-4, FAC.

Coordinate banking activities for state agencies participating in the statewide Consolidated Revolving Account (CRA).

Serve as an integral team member of the Cash Management Section to provide back up for the various duties within the Section.

Analyze and assist agencies in resolving unidentified EFT transactions and assist in the implementation of new ACH deposits into the agencies’ sub-accounts in the Treasury Concentration Account.

Perform other tasks as directed within the Cash Management Section.
