He aha te tūranga - About the role:

We have an opportunity with our Canterbury Emergency Ambulance Service for a non-clinical person to work in the cutting-edge Christchurch Make Ready Hub, located in the Christchurch CBD, as a 1 year fixed-term part-time contract, on a 4x4 roster. Ambulance Resource Assistant (what we call internally - Operations Resource Assistants or ORAs).

This is an important ambulance support role with a primary focus to prepare Hato Hone St John vehicles for operational readiness which means you'll be an essential worker supporting our front-line emergency service.

Please note this is a fixed-term, part-time role (31.5 hours per week) on a 4-on 4-off roster.

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written is essential
  • Willing to learn about infection control and managing biohazards
  • Knowledge of maintaining vehicles would be advantageous
  • First Aid Certificate advantageous but not essential
  • Full Drivers License
  • Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
