Grade: Responsible for the communication of Retail Operations Project Equipment-related information. Develops and maintains an intranet web page containing operational aspects of project-related information, including procedures, instructions, standards, contract sources, and project support documentation. Serves as the Code N lead for coordinating the development and communication of store standards, Hardlines, Softlines, Consumables, Fixtures, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Works under the general supervision of the Director, Operations (Projects & Equipment), who establishes goals, deadlines, and indicates the scope of responsibility. Carries out mission with an extremely high degree of independence. Exercises initiative and judgment in resolving problems and executing assignments within Operations, Facilities, other NEXCOM Codes, and Worldwide Field Operations. Ensures NEXCOM Store Operations Goals are met; keeping abreast of the historical, current, and trending financial health of the Enterprise.

- Serves as the Code N lead for coordinating the development and communication of Store Standards (Hardlines, Softlines, Consumables, Visual, Fixtures, etc.). Ensures standards are kept current and communicated to all stakeholders. Ensures that a single comprehensive resource for store standards is maintained online.

- Is the Code NP lead for the development of the Fixture Standards portion of the Store Standards, with cross-references to both the Merchandising and Visual Merchandising segments; ensures changes are incorporated in both.

- Develops and maintains the Code NP (Store Operation Projects) Web Page. Web page will serve as a cross-reference resource, using multiple source data (external/internet and internally developed data), including links to various project documentation, such as project ledgers, purchase orders, and project-specific documentation, etc.

- May perform COR (Contracting Officer Representative, or Alternate) duties with selected contract sources to ensure NEX receives the highest quality goods and support available; compliance with drawn or written specifications. Occasional travel required to assess the quality of equipment.

- May be required to provide procurement tracking information and updates to the online database, as required. Communicates directly with field personnel regarding procurement and tracking.

- Uses computer skills (MS Office Suite and web page design) to develop and maintain project-related/retail documentation. Creates reports, meeting note follow-ups, presentations, and performs related administrative functions.

- Provides procurement service support during periods of high project volume.

- Periodic travel required: Fixture installations. Obtain detailed pre-construction as-built conditions. Assist Design Tech in creating post-project as-built drawings and assessment of compliance with planned layouts.

- Prepares and maintains a database of all fixtures and collateral equipment required in NEX retail facilities; the database will include a square foot cost analysis/linear foot analysis, departmental analysis, and fixture capacity analysis—outcome of analysis to guide the decision making of Standard Fixture selection.

- Provides Premier Customer Service through timely and professional verbal and written communication.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

A total of six years of experience consisting of the following:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in administrative, professional, or other responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of time management, organizational, computer, and customer service skills; create reports and clear and concise communication tools, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment.

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for nine months of experience, up to a maximum of a four-year bachelors degree in business administration or related field for three years of general experience.

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in work that involved organization and development of web page content that served as a resource for remote users engaged in project coordination efforts; Web page content that included project standards, instructional materials, sources, etc. Experience that required the knowledge of procurement and/or contract representative work and retail fixture materials and/or floor plans.
