Amprius Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Program Manager (OPM) to drive the successful manufacturing scale-up of key suppliers. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and our supply chain partners, ensuring a seamless transition from prototype to mass production. This role requires a strong background in both program management and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Program Management and Execution

  • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional operations programs from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Regularly communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership and relevant teams.
  • Plan and execute a project kickoff meeting to align all stakeholders on the program objectives and critical path.

Manufacturing and Scale-Up

  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to define and optimize the manufacturing process (DFM, DFA).
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness activities, including line bring-up, process validation (e.g., FAI, CPK studies), and production ramp readiness.
  • Lead the transfer of manufacturing processes to external contract manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, cost, and capacity requirements for production scale.

Supply Chain Management

  • Collaborate with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams to select, qualify, and manage key suppliers.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the supply chain strategy, including inventory planning, logistics, and material readiness.
  • Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) readiness and cost tracking throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure component and material supply continuity, proactively addressing potential shortages or quality issues.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Proven ability to manage manufacturing and supply chain projects. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, NPI, and scaling production. Li-ion cell manufacturing knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% to visit suppliers and manufacturing sites.

Education, Certifications, Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Program Management, Production Management, or Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field.

Physical Demands & Work Location:

· Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.

· Work performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

Travel Requirements: up to 10%

Benefits

· Comprehensive compensation package includes base salary + RSUs. Salary range for this role is $120,000 to $190,000. Base salary will be determined based on knowledge, experience, and education.
