Job Description
The Operations Officer is responsible for directing operational excellence initiatives across the Bank through process improvement, workflow optimization, policy and procedure governance, operational risk management, and effective change management. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position partners with leaders across all business units to evaluate operations, identify inefficiencies and redundancies, implement and manage organizational and operational changes, and ensure operational practices support the Bank's strategic objectives. This position also serves as the owner of the Bank's policy and procedure administration program, ensuring policies and procedures are maintained, published, communicated, and followed throughout the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate operational readiness activities, including business process reviews, procedure updates, testing, training, and implementation support.
- Partner with project managers, vendors, department leaders, and executive management to ensure operational requirements are identified and addressed.
- Develop and coordinate change-related testing plans, issue resolution processes, and post-implementation validation activities.
- Monitor the operational impact of system and process changes and recommend actions to minimize disruption, strengthen controls, and improve efficiency.
- Lead ongoing reviews of operational processes and workflows across the Bank to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, control gaps, scalability concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote standardization of procedures and best practices across business units.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved utilization of technology solutions.
- Own the Bank's policy and procedure governance program.
- Coordinate the development, review, approval, publication, and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Maintain a centralized repository of current policies and procedures.
- Work with department managers to ensure documentation accurately reflects operational practices.
- Perform reviews and testing to verify adherence to approved policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate gaps between documented requirements and actual practices and recommend appropriate corrective actions, process improvements, or control enhancements.
- Identify and report risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the bank.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking and management required.
- Expected to obtain and maintain a recognized bank compliance certification, such as the ICBA Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) designation, within a timeframe established by the Bank.
