Operations & Management Consultant Manager
OF POSITION:
This position is a state budget analyst and is responsible for day-to-day operating budget, annual legislative budget requests, and other budget related assignments. Budget analyst will monitor all financial activities while ensuring compliance with Florida Statutes as well as state and department goals, policies, and procedures. This position reports to the Budget Director of the K-12 Budget Office and is located in the Florida Education Center, Turlington Building, Tallahassee, Florida.
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to applicants with state budget experience and/or state accounting experience.
Legislative Budget Request (LBR):
Assist in the preparation of the Department’s annual LBR. Duties include:

Serve as a budget analyst by monitoring all financial activities while ensuring compliance with Florida Statutes as well as state and department goals, policies, and procedures. Duties include:
The employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-oriented behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.
An employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.

The employee in this position has expanded access to information and reports in the People First System. This access may be used for business purposes only. Confidentiality of this information will be maintained at all times.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
