Head of Operations – Supported Living

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Operations / Operations Director to join a growing Supported Living provider and take a leading role in the continued development of its services.

This is a senior operational position for an experienced care leader who can oversee service delivery, drive quality and performance, and support the organisation's wider growth strategy.

Based in the West Midlands / Midlands, the role will involve regular national travel across the organisation's services and would suit someone who is commercially aware, operationally strong, and confident leading teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Supported Living services
• Oversee the performance, quality, and operational delivery of multiple services
• Lead, support, and develop Registered Managers and operational teams
• Ensure services consistently meet CQC and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, compliance, and service performance
• Monitor operational KPIs, staffing, budgets, and financial performance
• Support the mobilisation and development of new Supported Living services
• Develop and implement effective operational systems and processes
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, Local Authorities, families, and other stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support sustainable growth
• Provide regular operational reporting and strategic insight to senior leadership
• Help shape the organisation's long-term operational strategy

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within Supported Living
• Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Operations Director, or similar
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, compliance, and quality standards
• Experience overseeing multiple Supported Living services or locations
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercially aware with experience managing operational and financial performance
• Proven track record of driving service improvement and organisational growth
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with strong operational decision-making abilities
• Comfortable with regular national travel
