We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Recovery Field Engineer to support a critical supplier stabilization initiative for a key aerospace customer. The selected candidate will work on-site at a supplier facility in Monterrey, focusing on operational recovery, production stabilization, and backlog reduction.
This role requires a hands-on senior professional with strong manufacturing and supplier development experience, capable of quickly diagnosing industrial issues, identifying production bottlenecks, and implementing recovery plans to restore delivery performance.
The engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure production targets and delivery commitments are achieved.
This position is highly operational and requires daily presence on the production floor
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Production Recovery
Lead on-site supplier recovery activities to stabilize production and restore delivery performance.
Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and operational inefficiencies
Implement and monitor recovery action plans to reduce backlog and improve throughput.
Track and report progress against recovery milestones and delivery commitments.
Manufacturing & Operational Analysis
Perform production line diagnostics, including analysis of cycle time, throughput, yield, scrap, and WIP.
Identify root causes for production delays and propose corrective actions.
Work directly with plant teams to improve operational stability and process efficiency.
Monitor key operational metrics such as OEE, yield, scrap rate, throughput, and plan vs. actual production output
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the operational interface between the supplier and the customer program teams.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
Facilitate daily operational reviews and progress tracking meetings.
Supply Chain & Delivery Performance
Support backlog recovery initiatives and ensure alignment between production capacity and demand requirements
Analyze supplier production planning and capacity constraints.
Improve visibility into production plans and delivery schedules.
Reporting & Customer Communication
Provide regular progress updates and recovery status reports to customer leadership.
Track risks, constraints, and opportunities affecting supplier performance.
Ensure transparency on recovery progress and mitigation plans.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supplier development, or industrial recovery roles.
Proven experience working directly on-site with suppliers in production environments
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and production systems
Experience diagnosing and resolving production bottlenecks and delivery issues
Excellent problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Fluent English and Spanish
Preferred Experience
Experience in high-volume electronic component manufacturing, particularly environments producing high-reliability components such as:
Ceramic or tantalum capacitors
Electronic component assembly and encapsulation
Automated electronic manufacturing lines
Electrical testing and quality control operations
