About the Role

As the VIC Operations Manager you will be overseeing warehouse and production operations across 3 sites in Laverton North. You will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and compliance to bolster the divisions growth and success. Your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee all warehousing, transport and manufacturing operations within the division.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in Redox offices, buildings and grounds in accordance with Redox’s policies and procedures and compliance with applicable regulation.
  • Maximise the efficiency and productivity of Redox operations, balancing workload between sites and overflow to third parties where required.
  • Manage operational staffing levels, assisting with recruitment and human resource matters.
  • Drive best-practice operation principles and continual improvement in all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., NHVR, Chain of Responsibility, DG storage, HACCP, including audits and corrective action plans.
  • Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional operational teams including training and succession planning across all sites.
  • Monitor and report on performance of logistics and manufacturing operations including DIFOT, Capacity, Inventory Accuracy, Labour Productivity.
  • Represent Redox and develop relationships with local third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
  • Ensure plant and equipment is in good working order and oversee maintenance schedules.
  • Identify, report and act on opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Resolve escalations from key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and highlight items that could lead to operational improvements and efficiencies.
  • Action quality problems and resolve them to the best interests of the company.
  • Attend to any other matter in a timely basis as directed by the Supervisor or Executive Team.

About you

  • Possess at least 7 years of experience in transport, warehousing and manufacturing operations, or a closely related field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledgeable of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous substances regulatory handling and storage legislation or be willing to undertake training.
  • Strong analytical skills with some experience in data analysis and report writing.
  • Experience in the use of software to support operations (e.g. ERP, WMS, TMS, MRP, QMS)
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills in team building and staff management.
  • Excellent vendor communication, problem resolution and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
