Key Responsibilities:

Suppply Chain & Planning

  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain for polymer products (PE, PP, PVC, PET, and other polymer grades).
  • Coordinate with trading, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely product availability based on business requirements.
  • Develop demand forecasts and inventory replenishment plans to maintain optimum inventory levels.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and proactively mitigate supply disruptions.

Import & Customs Operations

  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and Custom House Agents (CHA) for timely customs clearance of import shipments.
  • Ensure all import documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor customs clearance timelines and minimize demurrage, detention, and port-related costs.
  • Resolve customs-related issues in coordination with CHA, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with, Customs, GST, and other applicable import regulations.

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant storage of polymer products.
  • Manage warehouse service providers and ensure adherence to agreed service levels and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and physical stock verification.
  • Monitor warehouse utilization, stock aging, handling practices, and storage conditions.
  • Develop and implement warehouse process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, housekeeping, and statutory requirements within warehouse operations.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Plan and coordinate inland transportation for timely customer deliveries.
  • Manage relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
  • Track shipments from origin to final delivery and proactively resolve delays.
  • Optimize transportation routes and freight costs while maintaining service quality.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Work closely with finance on inventory valuation, reconciliation, and working capital optimization.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with CHA partners, warehouse operators, transporters, shipping lines, and logistics vendors.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and service-level agreements to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, finance, procurement, customer service, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 8–15 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations within the polymer, petrochemical, chemical, or commodity trading industry.
  • Proven experience managing imports, customs clearance, warehouse operations, and logistics.
  • Strong understanding of international trade, documentation, customs regulations, and warehouse management.
