We are seeking the services of a Operations Manager – Facilities & Support Services, to join the Australia New Zealand business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Manager – Facilities & Support Services, ANZ will oversee the management of the critical operational facilities and associated property services for CHANEL ANZ ensuring world class facilities as provided to our employees, and clients.

This role will be responsible for supporting Chanel’s boutiques, department stores, distribution center and corporate locations across ANZ.

WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL

The operations Manager – Facilities and Support Services will be the driver of operational excellence across all of our locations in ANZ and will lead the delivery of world-class facilities for employees and our valued clients.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Assume the responsibility for the facilities and support services budget, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment & supplies, and occupancy services.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to reduce breakdowns and extend the lifespan of Chanel’s infrastructure

  • Lead key portfolio initiatives in partnership with Store Planning and Sustainability, such as capital works delivery, contractor management/administration, and risk and compliance frameworks as well as responsibility for day-to-day operational delivery.

  • Provide directions for repair, preventative maintenance, and capital works.

  • Develop and implement meticulous operational strategies to ensure all locations are maintained with impeccable cleanliness, efficiency and aesthetic appeal.

  • Develop asset life cycle plans and provide input and guidance to capital and operational expenditure and alignment with strategic plans.

  • Lead and manage the Maintenance Executive role, providing training, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.

  • Lead and manage Contractors support the property operations of Chanel ANZ.

  • Provide advice and direction to Maintenance Executives and Store Planning on new projects with technical analysis and scoping works, and provide direction for repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital works.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-site environment.

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role and/or 10 years’ industry experience

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to manage projects and drive operational efficiencies.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional environments and experiences.

  • The ability to deliver results using advanced systems and processes that support world best practice.

  • Superior leadership, motivational and influencing skills

  • In-depth knowledge of current security industry practices and functions

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products

  • The ability to communicate at all levels and across all departments and to gain the confidence and respect of peers and teams.
