We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and service operations at Annacis Island. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the operations while building an engaged, safety-first, high-performing team.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love optimizing processes, and know how to bring out the best in people, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

As the Operations Manager, you will

  • Lead with purpose—championing our values and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and inclusion
  • Keep safety front and centre, ensuring a healthy workplace aligned with WorkSafeBC standards
  • Own the operation end-to-end, including receiving, inventory flow, fulfillment, and outbound shipping
  • Drive performance, using data and insights to improve productivity, accuracy, and service levels
  • Optimize flow, collaborating with Inventory teams on carrier scheduling, dock planning, and space utilization
  • Continuously improve, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs
  • Develop your team, through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
  • Lead from the front as an active member of the Safety Committee
  • Manage the business, including departmental budgets and P&L accountability
  • Shape the future, leading strategic projects and innovation initiatives
  • Communicate with impact, presenting results and insights across the organization

To be successful in this role you have

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse or distribution operations
  • Deep knowledge of inbound, outbound, and inventory management
  • Experience with WMS, RF tools, automation, and workforce systems
  • A proven track record of building, developing, and retaining strong teams
  • A passion for continuous improvement and Lean practices
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels
  • The ability to manage competing priorities with clarity and focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI is an asset)
  • Solid understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations
  • Experience in e-commerce or high-volume distribution environments

Bonus points

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • APICS or other supply chain certifications
  • Lean / Six Sigma designation
  • Project management training or certification

Why Trail Appliances?

  • People-first culture—we invest in your growth and success
  • Stable, family-owned Canadian company with a strong reputation
  • Meaningful impact—your work directly shapes the customer experience
  • Collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged and actioned
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
