What this opportunity involves:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team at the Dumas Precinct in West Perth. This vacancy has arisen due to an internal transfer, creating an opportunity for a motivated and technically capable professional to take ownership of a high-profile commercial asset portfolio including Dumas Precinct, Barracks Arch and Albert Facey House. In this role, you'll provide senior engineering operational leadership and support across building operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, compliance, and sustainability outcomes. You'll lead a dedicated site operations team while working collaboratively with Property Managers, Account Directors, and broader building teams to deliver best-in-class property management. Your practical, solutions-focused approach will be essential as you drive continuous improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and champion operational performance across this significant commercial precinct.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the site operations team across the precinct assets, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
• Oversee day-to-day building operations, engineering services, compliance and maintenance activities to ensure seamless facility management
• Manage operational issues, drive process improvements, and support risk mitigation initiatives that enhance safety and efficiency
• Provide technical support to the Property Manager, Account Director, and broader building teams across all operational matters
• Assist with the development and implementation of asset strategies, operational budgets, and capital investment plans aligned with client objectives
• Liaise with consultants and contractors to support sustainability initiatives including NABERS and Green Star performance objectives
• Ensure all building systems, essential services, and operational platforms are maintained and operating effectively at all times
• Manage procurement and service contracts in accordance with State Government guidelines and JLL standards
• Deliver accurate and timely operational reporting to clients and senior management, demonstrating transparency and accountability

• Demonstrated experience managing building operations within commercial property environments
• Strong leadership capability with proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong analytical, reporting and computer literacy skills to support data-driven decision making
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Sound understanding of workplace, building and compliance legislation applicable to commercial assets
• Experience managing building systems including fire, electrical and building intelligence systems
• Understanding of property engineering and operational best practices that drive efficiency and compliance
• Engineering degree or diploma preferred (or equivalent technical qualification)
