In this role, you will:

  • Manage the activities of a Loan Production, Loan Servicing, and Commercial or Real Estate Construction Loan team responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, loan servicing, or underwriting activities
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Lending Operations functional area
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional area
  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelines
  • Oversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policies
  • Make credit decisions and resolve issues regarding performance of a business unit or functional area to ensure business objectives are met
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functional areas with low to moderate complexity, and with accountability for special portfolio segments requiring focused management
  • Collaborate and consult with Lending Operations peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers accountable for providing quality customer service to internal or external customers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Training Pillar Ownership & Talent Development

  • Own and manage the Training & Capability Development pillar for the ABL loan servicing group.
  • Design and deliver structured training programs, including:
    • New‑hire onboarding and role readiness milestones
    • ABL product and collateral‑based servicing training
    • Platform training for Loan IQ, LUCAS, and STUCKEY
    • Refresher, remediation, and regulatory training
  • Identify skill gaps through quality reviews, performance metrics, audit findings, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Develop and maintain training materials such as:
    • Process and system walkthroughs
    • Scenario‑based ABL case studies
    • SOPs, job aids, and reference guides
  • Measure training effectiveness using assessments, certifications, and post‑training performance outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting career development, skill progression, and succession planning

Stakeholder Collaboration

Serve as a primary liaison with Line of Business, Control & Risk, Technology, and Operations teams.

  • Coordinate the resolution of open customer service issues involving internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve business objectives.
  • May lead projects, oversee daily team deliverables, perform critical end‑of‑day check‑outs, and mentor lower‑level staff.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within ABL Operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing and/or Loan Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on proficiency with Loan IQ, LUCAS, STUCKEY etc. or equivalent commercial lending platforms.
  • 6+ years of training‑related experience, including drafting training plans, delivering training programs, and defining onboarding milestones.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising daily team deliverables, including critical end‑of‑day controls and check‑outs.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Based Lending products, Syndicated Loan Servicing, collateral structures, and servicing workflows.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation and ability to interpret Legal Credit Agreements
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Recognized for delivering exceptional customer service and strong stakeholder partnership.
