We are looking for a multi-faceted Operations Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast-moving environments, and is excited to help launch a business from scratch. The Operations Manager will serve as a key point of coordination between manufacturing partners, contractors, vendors, and the US-based team.
Helping identify and source footwear manufacturers in Portugal
Coordinating factory visits and managing manufacturing relationships
Evaluating and organizing product samples
Working with partners and vendors to track timelines and project status
Assisting with product photography, creative assets, and marketing coordination
Coordinating with web developers to support website creation and launch
Supporting customs, shipping, and logistics processes for exports to the US
Helping establish and manage customer service systems and workflows
Managing projects across multiple stakeholders and timelines
Collaborating closely with the Onda team as an operational partner/client
Attending regular meetings with US-based team members during overlapping business hours
Meeting in person periodically with company leadership and local partners in Portugal
Supporting future operational expansion in Portugal, including potential company setup and manufacturing growth
Fluent or near-native English and European Portuguese
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
Comfortable working independently and solving problems proactively
Able to manage multiple priorities in a startup-style environment
Professional and confident working with manufacturers and business partners
Driver’s license and access to a car
Based in Portugal and available for occasional in-person meetings and travel within the country
Approximately 40 hours per week
Must be available for collaboration with US-based teams during Portugal afternoon/evening hours
Typical working window will be approximately 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Portugal time, with flexibility
