O’Brien® is seeking a driven and customer-focused Operations Manager to lead operational delivery for our Electrical & Plumbing division’s service contracts team (‘OGS’), while supporting our sales function to win and grow business across our expanding property services portfolio.

This role plays a critical part in achieving long-term and annual business plans by providing operational expertise, pricing insight, and strong team leadership. You will manage the day-to-day operations team, build lasting client relationships, and ensure exceptional service delivery across both existing and new B2B clients.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Sales Support

  • Lead the OGS Operations team to deliver strong customer outcomes
  • Act as key escalation point across customers, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Support sales by developing customer-focused solutions and managing opportunities end-to-end
  • Contribute to sales targets and profit KPIs

Client & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client and contractor relationships
  • Attend client meetings and identify growth opportunities within accounts
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through collaboration with Members and subcontractors

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Own account performance, including costs and P&L outcomes
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain job management system data and strengthen cross-functional relationships

Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
  • Foster a positive, accountable and customer-focused culture
  • Drive engagement, productivity and continuous improvement

About You

Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience in an operations leadership role within a service-based business
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering solutions
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing performance and costs
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office, CRM, job management systems)
  • Demonstrated drive for results and continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Experience in plumbing, electrical, or other trade-based industries
  • Background in selling or supporting trade or service-based offerings
