Job Description

We are pleased to invite applications for the permanent position of Operations Manager at Jemalong Station, located near Forbes in Central New South Wales. You will be joining a team of eight full-time staff, supported by additional casual employees during seeding and harvest.

About the Role:

Working closely with the Farm Manager, you will assist with the daily operations of a large mixed farming aggregation.

About you:

  • Have a passion for agriculture, strong drive for results, and a positive, self-motivated approach.
  • Demonstrate accountability, practical thinking and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Build strong relationships through effective communication, self-awareness and an adaptable, team-focused approach.
  • Remain calm, flexible and positive under pressure while contributing to a safe and supportive work environment.

You will have:

  • Experience in dryland and irrigated broadacre cropping, including the operation of associated plant, machinery and systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a people and safety-focused approach, including staff and contractor management experience.
  • Proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail across all aspects of the operations, including accurate record keeping.

Accreditations:

  • Preferred but not essential - agricultural degree or diploma
  • A current driver’s license and heavy vehicle license[RH1.1][NJ1.2]
  • Chemical Users Accreditation
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to complete
