We’re Australia’s coolest logistics — literally. CHILL solves last-mile refrigeration challenges for clients serious about becoming market leaders. We don’t move packages. We protect product integrity and client reputation. In a cold chain, failures aren’t recoverable. We need a leader who gets that.
The operation here is genuinely performing. DIFOT is consistently strong. The margins are protected. The team knows what good looks like.
What’s needed now isn’t someone to fix it. It’s someone who sees a performing operation with a new facility 12 months out and thinks: This is exactly where I want to be.
If that’s how you think about operations — keep reading.
This is a hands-on facility leadership role based in Yatala, QLD. You’ll be stepping into an operation with strong fundamentals and a team that needs steady, capable leadership to carry that performance forward.
Your first priority is continuity. Your second is the people. Your third is the new facility, planning for it, preparing the team for it, and making the move seamless when it comes.
You’ll report directly to senior leadership and have real ownership of the operation. That means the budget, the performance, the team, and the standard.
Every delivery is a promise kept
In cold chain, there’s no second chance. Every carton, every run, every handover is either protecting or damaging a client’s reputation. You’re the operational face of CHILL’s reliability — visible to clients, ahead of problems before they surface, and making sure the team understands that what we do every day isn’t logistics. It’s trust, at temperature, on time.
Protecting what’s working
DIFOT is strong. Margins are tight and well-managed. Your job is to understand why that’s true and make sure it stays true — through the transition and beyond.
Leading the team through change
The team is capable. They’re also navigating a transition. Your job is to give them clarity, stability, and someone worth following. That means having hard conversations when performance slips and doing the real work of developing people when it doesn’t.
Owning the operation
Budget, resources, KPI performance, efficiency — yours. You’ll know what’s happening on the floor because you’re in it, not because someone reported it to you.
Driving the new facility transition
Within 12 months, CHILL moves to a new facility. You’ll be involved in planning, preparation, and execution. For the right person, this is the kind of project that defines a career chapter.
Holding the safety and compliance line
HACCP standards, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable here. They’re yours to maintain — not delegate and forget.

Benefits
Growth you’ll lead
A performing operation. A new facility within 12 months. An expanding QLD client base with room to run. You won’t be handed a growth plan and asked to execute it — you’ll be the person who shapes how this site grows, and takes the team with you.
A direct line to the people who decide
You’ll report to the GM and CEO. No layers, no waiting for decisions to travel up and down a chain. If something needs to move, it moves. If you have a view on how the business should grow, the right people will hear it — directly from you.
Performance that pays both ways
Base salary $145,000 – $155,000 + super. Plus an annual performance bonus tied to the outcomes that matter — because if the operation performs, you should too.
No cover letter.
But before you send anything — read this ad properly. All of it.
At the top of your resume, we want a short personal statement. Not a career summary, not a list of achievements. Tell us who you are as a leader, what drives you, and in your own words — why this specific role, at this specific point in CHILL’s story, is the right next move for you.
Three to six sentences. No template language. If it could belong on someone else’s resume, rewrite it.
Applications that don’t include a statement won’t progress. The ones that do will tell us everything we need to know before we’ve read a single bullet point.
Applications are reviewed as they come in, and a job preview assessment will be sent to you. If you’re the right fit, you’ll hear from us.
