Manage and lead all activities related to the effective and efficient operation of the manufacture and delivery of flavours for Oceania. This position is accountable for leading and driving improvement of the supply chain and manufacturing systems, processes, policies and methodologies which will drive efficiencies and competencies in manufacturing, planning, purchasing, warehouse and logistics to achieve the highest level of service to customers in line with inventory control management objectives and GMP standards for Oceania.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

Supply Chain

  • Maintain customer service level as per company’s objectives.
  • Manage a team responsible for inventory management ensuring control in inventory holdings, management of blocked stock and SMOG, managing cycle count to ensure inventory report accuracies and lead annual stock takes when required.
  • Manage material planning process through demand management ensuring order fulfilment with effective cost and target date.
  • Review and continuously improve warehouse management and distribution processes to drive efficiencies in overall logistics requirements with focus in cost reductions including transport cost control.
  • Ensure priorities are handled effectively by area of accountability in the entire supply chain area.
  • Ensure wastage is eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level.

Manufacturing

  • Maintain batch cycle times and production efficiencies.

Site Services

  • Ensure site remains compliance to local and local requirements and supports the operations to achieve the KPIs.
  • Ensure any waste is disposed of in a manner acceptable to regulating bodies.

Engineering

  • Manage all capex for manufacturing and site requirements.


S afety

  • Ensure site compliance with Oceania and global company standards and procedures.

Quality

  • Oversee all quality systems to ensure compliance with Oceania and global company standards and procedures.

Procurement

  • Liaise with Global Procurement to ensure efficiencies in procurement and continuous supply of raw materials within service level agreements and monitor prompt resolution of service and pricing issues.

Management

  • Responsible for developing and executing demand and inventory plans that will enable meeting sales and service objectives in collaboration with sales and operations processes.
  • Coordinate work efforts of the team to ensure integration and completion of work against expectations.
  • Monitor and ensure integrity of the department processes and procedures.
  • Deliver cost saving initiatives in all aspects of supply chain and manufacturing areas.
  • Work closely with senior management to assist and maintain annual budgets for all supplies and services.
  • Manufacturing structure, work with production managers to ensure production plan is executed on a weekly basis.
  • Resource management, work with each of the department managers to ensure we have proper coverage to cover off work required by the organization.
  • Assist with change management.
  • Participate in EBA negotiations.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Minimum Science degree or tertiary qualification in business applications
  • 10 years’ experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production
  • Experience in managing an organisation of 50+ employees

How Would You Stand Out?

  • Good Manufacturing Practices to produce quality products and strong knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ code, ISO2200, AIB or similar
  • Experience working in a highly unionized environment
  • A strong safety orientation
  • Proficient use of SAP and Microsoft Office
