Location: Hobart

About Us: CathlicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We have 60 years’ experience delivering a wide range of services and support to improve individual, family and community wellbeing. Out services are available and open to all with a particular focus on families, young people and children.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our Early Learning and Care team in Southern Tasmania. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our early childhood services, overseeing the quality of care, compliance, and staff development supported by our current Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of OSHC programs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

• Lead and mentor a team of dedicated educators and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance program quality and efficiency.

• Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to ensure optimal program delivery.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community.

• Monitor and evaluate program performance, implementing improvements as needed.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care.

Desirable Attributes:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the childcare or education sector.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• In-depth knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices.

• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Passion for early childhood education and commitment to providing high-quality care.
