Job Description

We’re hiring an experienced Operations Manager to lead and enhance security operations across multiple critical infrastructure sites along the M4 corridor Working alongside an existing Operations Manager, you will help strengthen oversight, improve resilience, and deliver consistently high-performing security services.

As our Operations Manager you'll be responsible for operational performance, compliance, client engagement, and leadership of Site Leads and frontline teams. This is a key role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-assurance environments and enjoys driving standards, solving problems, and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Please note that due to the nature of this opportunity candidates must be willing to undergo eDV (Tier 4) Level Security Clearance. Due to these requirements you must be a British National with a UK residency of 10 years+.

📍 Location: Multi-site across the M4 corridor (Swindon, Didcot, Reading, Bracknell and London)
💰 Salary: £52,000 per annum (+£7,200 per annum car allowance)
📅 Hours: 37.5 hours per week but must be flexible and willing to travel

What You’ll Do

• Lead multi-site security operations and ensure delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and client-specific security standards
• Manage and develop Site Leads, driving a culture of accountability and high performance
• Conduct regular site visits to support teams and maintain consistency across locations
• Act as an escalation point for operational issues, including participation in the on‑call rota
• Build strong, credible relationships with client stakeholders
• Monitor performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain staffing levels and work closely with support functions (rostering, payroll, uniforms, etc.)
• Oversee risk assessments, H&S compliance, and accurate site documentation
• Identify opportunities for service improvements and operational efficiency
• Support the National Account Director with cost control and contract performance
• Promote and demonstrate the Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Right to work in the UK
• SIA Licence
• Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
• Must be willing and able to commit to achieve DV Clearance
• 5‑year checkable employment history
• Strong experience managing multi-site security operations
• Proven track record of delivering operational performance and compliance
• Experience leading and developing teams in structured operational environments
• Understanding of UK Government/Public Sector security requirements
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
• Strong knowledge of risk management and resource allocation
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion

Desirable

• Security Management qualification or similar
• Background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security
• eDV (Tier 4) clearance
• Experience in critical infrastructure or data centre environments
• Project management experience or qualification
