About the Red Shield Family Residence, Eliza Shirley House, & Eliza Shirley House Resolution Center The Salvation Army offers safe and welcoming emergency housing programs offering loving, respectful, compassionate, and non-judgmental services to empower residents to strive towards self-sufficiency. The goal is to support individuals experiencing homelessness address immediate barriers to self sufficiency, identify and access longer term housing support, and resolve their immediate housing crisis. Responsibilities

of Position: The Operations Manager (OM) directly supervises the House Managers, Residential Advisors, and the Savings Program at the Eliza Shirley House Resolution Center (ESHRC), which is a 24/7 trauma-informed emergency housing program. The Operations Manager ensures that front desk is properly staffed to ensure safety and contract requirements. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring there is adequate coverage on all shifts to maintain safe staffing levels and will adjust schedule as needed to fill any vacant shifts. Also, the Operations Manager provides support to the Red Shield Family residence and Eliza Shirley House, as requested.

The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Possess a GED or High School Diploma, plus five years supervisory experience.
  • Have 5 plus years working in a residential program.
  • Must be willing to obtain Serve Safe within 90 days of employment.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must possess an appreciation for and understanding of the mission of The Salvation Army.
