  • Provide end‑to‑end trade support and lifecycle management across multiple asset classes, including Fixed Income, Rates, Credit, Commodities, and related derivatives and structured notes, covering also exotic products such as FX TARF and accumulators.
  • Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, allocation, affirmation/confirmation, settlement, and regulatory reporting (e.g., HKTR) across all supported asset types.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of cash, trades, and positions with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties; promptly investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement issues, and other operational exceptions.
  • Oversee the team’s day‑to‑day operational activities and act as the escalation point for high‑risk or complex exception items, ensuring issues are managed and closed out within agreed timelines.
  • Partner closely with the Technology team to identify, design, and implement process and system enhancements that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and support new business and product growth.
  • Participate in system changes, UAT, and platform upgrades, providing requirements, test cases, and sign‑off to ensure solutions are fit for purpose from an operations and control perspective.
  • Monitor and manage operational risks associated with trading activities; work with Risk Management and Compliance to identify control gaps, implement remedial actions, and continuously enhance the middle‑office control framework.
  • Perform data and trend analysis on trade and operational activities to support management decision‑making, capacity planning, and risk monitoring.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and other compliance‑related documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies/procedures related to trade support and middle‑office operations.
  • Act as a key contact point for internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and other assurance activities, coordinating information requests and remediation actions as required.
  • Provide people leadership to a team of four, including day‑to‑day supervision, coaching and guidance, performance feedback, and support on training and career development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in middle office, trade support or operations within an investment bank or securities firm, with solid exposure to multi‑asset and derivatives products.
  • Strong product knowledge across Fixed Income, Rates, Credit, Commodities and related derivatives/structured products; experience with exotics (e.g. FX TARF, accumulators) is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in managing trade lifecycle processes, reconciliations, and settlement across global markets, with a strong control and risk mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing stakeholders, and handling high‑risk exceptions and incident management at VP level.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. HKTR) and experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Strong partnership skills with Technology and Change teams; hands‑on experience in process re‑engineering, system implementation and UAT.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; able to articulate complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; experience with front‑to‑back platforms and reconciliation tools is preferred.
  • University degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
