UGL has a strategic partnership with the Department of Defence across the Defence Fuels Network for Fuels Management, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. An opportunity now exists to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in Australia’s Defence environment and support national security requirements of the Nation.

About the role

This role can be based in VIC or SA with travel across multiple defence sites in the region, and responsibleforthesafeandefficientdeliveryof VIC/SAfuelOperationsand Maintenanceasrequiredbythe Defence Fuel Network (DFN) andinaccordancewiththeOperationsSystemsPlan(OSP)andMaintenanceManagementPlan(MMP)inadditionto referenced and required Defence documentation.

ManagestateteamsofO&MSupervisorstodeliverMaintenanceandOperatingServicesacrossVictoria & South Australia Defence Fuel Network (DFN) for the DFN MCC.

Key responsibilities

Management and Leadership

  • Build a cohesive, high performing team facilitating achievement of team goals through use of UGL’s PerformanceObjectivesettingprocess,SuccessionPlanningtoolsandchallengingsitepersonneltothink innovatively.

  • Ensurecompetencies,experienceandanydevelopmentrequirementsforstaffareidentifiedandplans implemented to address/support them.

  • Ensureemployeerelationsarewellmanagedandnolosttimetodisputes throughemployeeengagement, strong communication of key messaging and leadership integrity

  • Recogniseteammembersthathavegoneaboveandbeyondwhatisexpectedinday-to-day work

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Leadandchampion bestpracticeHSSEManagementacrossoperationsthroughpromotionofasafebehaviour culture

  • EnsureanySafetyissues/incidentsareappropriatelyinvestigatedandrequiredactionscompleted, closedout and suitable communication distributed in a timely manner

  • EnsuresappropriateresourcesareallocatedforeffectiveHSEmanagement andcoachingofUGLemployed, Subcontracted and UGL managed personnel to achieve strong HSE performance

Performance

  • DemonstratestrongfinancialacumentakingownershipofOA/MAbudgetperformance throughmanagement of Labour and non-labour costs

  • WorkwiththeProjectControlsteamandAssetManagementteamstoensuretimelyandeffectivedeliveryof OA & MA Services in accordance to Asset Management Plans

  • ContributetotheAnnualBusinessPlandevelopmentand reporting

  • ContributiontotheContractStatusReporting Requirements

  • ImprovetheperformanceandoperationoftheDFNovertheTermtooptimisetheTotalCostof Ownership

  • IncreasetheoperationalresilienceoftheDFNtobeabletorespondtofuelsupplydemandsandrequirements to meet Defence's operational and preparedness needs

  • Utiliseeffectivemanagementtools,proceduresandprocessestofullyandmanagetheContractor'ssupply chain across all Locations in respect of the Services provided at those Locations

About You

  • Relevanttertiarytechnicalqualifications(e.g.Engineering,AssetManagement,ElectricalEngineering)or10+ years relevant industry experience

  • Currentholderorabletoobtain NV-1Security clearance (Australian Citizen

  • ExtensiveexperienceinMaintenance&Operationsmanagement& delivery in the Oil & Gas industry
